Fees increasing concept

The UK Home Office has implemented new immigration and nationality fees effective from 9 April 2025. These adjustments affect a wide range of application categories, including visitor visas, naturalisation, and settlement routes. Applicants are encouraged to review the updated fees before submitting applications to ensure accurate budgeting and compliance.

Updated Key Fees

  • Visit Visa – Short stay (up to 6 months): £127
  • Visit Visa – Long-term (up to 2 years): £475
  • Visit Visa – Long-term (up to 5 years): £848
  • Visit Visa – Long-term (up to 10 years): £1,059
  • Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR): £3,029
  • Naturalisation as a British citizen: £1,605
  • Naturalisation as a British Overseas Territory citizen: £1,070

Impact on Applicants

The increase in fees affects individuals applying both from outside and within the UK. For many applicants — particularly those applying for long-term visits, settlement, or naturalisation — these changes represent a significant increase in total application costs. It is more important than ever to ensure all applications are correctly prepared and submitted to avoid costly re-applications or delays.
